One cannot, of course, be expected to remain sensible whilst wandering through what appears to be an Italian harbour town designed entirely for the encouragement of poor decisions and romantic impracticality.
The streets glowed gold beneath the evening light, the flowers appeared far too pleased with themselves, and somewhere between the fountains and the narrow little alleyways, I became acquainted with a ginger cat called Alessandro — who carried himself with the confidence of a man who has broken several hearts along the Mediterranean coast and feels no remorse whatsoever. I had intended only a modest excursion. A short walk. Perhaps a little sightseeing.
Instead, I spent an unreasonable amount of time leaning against old stone fountains, imagining dramatic correspondence, and contemplating whether one’s entire personality might improve after consuming citrus, sea air, and compliments in Italian.
The dress, naturally, encouraged all of it.

Some garments simply accompany a woman through the day, and we have those which persuade her she ought to abandon all practical considerations and move immediately to a harbour town where even the cats are charming enough to ruin her judgement.
Alessandro, for his part, seemed to think this was an excellent idea.
