Welcome to the latest edition of the Weekly Meow, the Cats Hollow Gazette for Wednesday, 15th July 2026.
Cats Hollow Heights is now officially open, and the first feline residents have already moved in! There’s plenty for our two-legged visitors to discover as well in our newest neighbourhood, located just behind the Family Barn.
Four charming garden homes are now available to rent at very affordable prices. They can also be rented fully furnished upon request, making them particularly suitable for new residents just starting their Second Life journey. A small grocery store, together with a petrol station and repair garage, provides everything our new citizens—and, of course, everyone else—might need close to home.
If you’d rather not enjoy your morning coffee alone, you’re always welcome at the nearby Family Barn. Alternatively, you can pick up a takeaway drink from the little kiosk by the swimming pond. We’ve also completed a new road at the entrance to Cats Hollow Heights, connecting the neighbourhood directly to Route 8.
For those seeking a little more peace and quiet while still enjoying all the benefits of being a Cats Hollow citizen, several ready-to-move-in skyboxes are also available.
The Cats Hollow Bike Shop has recently opened its doors as well. Very soon, you’ll be able to have your bicycle repaired there—or perhaps you’ll simply be tempted to treat yourself to a brand-new one. Landmark: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Trabushkja/100/151/36
If you have any questions about these opportunities, simply send a notecard to Anika Whiskers, and someone will be happy to assist you.
In related news, the Mayor reports that Cats Hollow’s feline population continues to grow steadily, while rental prices remain stable and affordable. Looking for a new place to call home? Mr Forager and his team at the Estate Office are certain to help you find the perfect fit. Landfmark: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zvjaginsev/108/103/55
Meanwhile, the Strawberry Festival is still in full swing. As everyone knows, the last berries of the season are often the sweetest, and our Chef de Confiture, Hamish Fluffington, proudly announces that this year’s end-of-season preserve has turned out especially rich and flavourful. His advice? Stock up while you still can. Landmark: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Trabushkja/81/25/29
Our Wedding Venue is also nearing completion. After several weeks of careful redesign, it has blossomed into a delightful garden spread across several levels, offering beautiful corners to explore and countless picturesque photo opportunities—not just for weddings.
Despite the extensive makeover, the venue remains true to its original philosophy: giving couples the opportunity to celebrate their special day without enormous expense. While donations are always warmly appreciated, the use of our wedding chapel, outdoor ceremony area, and reception venue continues to be completely free of charge. The only requirement is a reservation so that each wedding party can enjoy complete privacy. Couples are also welcome to discuss small personal requests with our Wedding Office, which will gladly do its best to accommodate them whenever possible. Save the Date! Our next Book Club meeting will take place, as always, on the fourth Thursday of the month. Owing to the holiday season, this month’s gathering will be an open meeting where everyone is invited to share the books they’re currently reading. Whether you have a favourite holiday read to recommend or simply fancy meeting fellow book lovers, you’ll be most welcome.
Thanks to the continued beautiful weather in Cats Hollow, we’ll once again be gathering in the garden of Georgianna’s Cozy Booknook, where we’ll enjoy coffee, lemonade, and friendly conversation about our favourite books. Landmark: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zvjaginsev/119/79/55
New: Postcards from Cats Hollow!
In this new feature, we’re showcasing photographs taken by our residents and friends as they explore our little town. Today’s contributors are Ava, Dveliande, and Sayoki. I added one of the pics of the wedding garden series, the heart has poses for photos and i will add some couple poses in future too.
Ava captured one of her latest blog posts in the charming romantic garden near the riding arena. Dveliande ventured into the surrounding wilderness and, quite unexpectedly, discovered an enchanted wishing well. Meanwhile, Sayoki paid an early visit to our brand-new neighbourhood, where we enjoyed a lovely chat together.
Thank you all for sharing your beautiful photographs with us. It is always a pleasure to see Cats Hollow through your eyes.

Police Report: Several adventurous hens from Chicken Heaven appear to have spent days planning a daring escape. Following an exciting chase—and no small amount of drama—they were eventually apprehended in the hospital park and safely escorted back home. Sadly, one hen remains missing. Residents and visitors are kindly asked to keep a watchful eye out. Should you spot her, please do not approach her yourself. Instead, report the sighting to the Cats Hollow Police Station on Main Street. Landmark: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zvjaginsev/174/83/50
Until next week!
