There’s something magical about getting dressed up, getting out of the house and reuniting over candlelight and champagne. This time, we wanted to celebrate our monthly wedding anniversary in a way that not only honoured our love, but also the life we’ve built together.
We began our evening as the sun sank behind the mountains. The golden hour light was the perfect backdrop for our walk by the lake. I wore a champagne-coloured dress with delicate embroidery, while he looked effortlessly handsome in a tailored black suit. A quiet moment, a shared glance, and everything else faded away.
Dinner was intimate and filled with laughter. We had opted for a cosy candlelit restaurant with a pianist playing music in the background – every corner was enveloped in romance. The flickering candles danced on the table, just like the spark that always ignites our relationship.
But the best part? Escaping the crowd into a beautiful, hidden suite in the hotel. A room adorned with velvet, rose petals and secrets. Just us, the silence of the night and all the memories we’ve collected over the years. The moments in this suite were more than just passion – they were filled with tenderness, playfulness and deep connection.
As we snuggled together on the bed, surrounded by scattered flower petals, I felt like we were the only two people in the world. Here’s to many more years of laughter, surprises and spontaneous outbursts.
