London Calling – Welcome to the LanikaVerse!

In the heart of bustling London, amidst the hustle and bustle and traffic noise, lived a woman – let’s call her Bridget. She was a London girl through and through, her steps echoing the rhythm of the city as she moved through its streets. And on this day, when she had uncharacteristically taken the day off, Bridget was on her way to breakfast with her friends.
From her small flat with the pretty front garden, Bridget made her way through the streets of the neighbourhood, in a hurry because, as usual, she was about 10 minutes late.

Her cat Tony sat outside the door enjoying the remains of his breakfast, only to have the spring sun shine on his grey, silky fur a moment later. Bridget gave him a smile before walking quickly to the nearest taxi rank (the bus was just turning the corner, but she was in a hurry). On the way there, next to the phone box, Cinnamon was already waiting for her, a big red cat (no one knew where she came from or who her owner was, but the whole neighbourhood adopted her and took care of her). Cinnamon knew that Bridget always had little treats for her in her pocket, no matter how small it was and no matter how much of a hurry she was in. Today was no different. So, as always, Cinnamon got her treats, and Bridget hurried to the taxi rank, eager for a happy day with the people she loved the most.
