There is, of course, a second part to our first examination at Hands On Care Maternity: the ultrasound. We were a little excited as I lay down on the couch, the dad-to-be sat in a chair next to me and our friendly doctor applied the clear gel to my belly. It felt a little cold, but not really uncomfortable. Then it started.
We could first see our little girl in black and white on the screen. Dr Guinn checked that everything was developing healthily and luckily it turned out that everything was fine, all fingers and toes were fully present and she was also very open about her gender. Seeing and hearing the rapid heartbeat flickering on the screen and knowing that it was becoming a reality, that a new life was growing inside me, filled us with great joy and awe.
We then switched to 3D, which was super exciting for us. Watch HERE our reel about this magic moments!
Seeing her face, even she is still in my belly was an indescribable experience. This amazing experience is one of the moments we will never forget as it marks the beginning of our journey into parenthood, a journey full of love, hope and excitement for what the future holds.

We were so excited and happy afterwards that we took a few more pictures in the beautiful grounds of the clinic.
